This gear oil formula is fortified with special anti-wear agents and lubricity agents to control wear and drag as well as special additives to control heat. These features are not found in ordinary gear oils. This gear oil is both excellent for racecars and any heavy-duty application where plain gear oils just aren't good enough. Royal Purple 05021 XPR RACE21 Synthetic Extreme Performance & Racing Motor Oil 5W30 5GAL RACING 21 XPR 5W30 works well in a variety of applications from oval track late models to bracket racing. It is extremely versatile and produces excellent horsepower while preventing wear. It is also formulated for ultraperformance applications such as racing, modified engines and offroad use. XPR's high film strength make it exceptionally well suited for today's high performance cars and trucks, particularly turbo and supercharged engines and / or engines using a nitrous boost. XPR produces winning results on the race track and is safe enough to use in your daily commuter car. Professional engine builders and race teams have cited increased horsepower and torque, and longer engine life with the use of Royal Purple. Independent tests on racing engines show as much as an 80% reduction in wear by using Royal Purple's XPR oils compared to other racing oils.
