| Axis Communications 0232-004 Video Server, 240Q, Digitize 4 | ||
![]() Retail price: Your price: $585.84 |
Axis Communications 0232-004 Video Server, 240Q, Digitize 4 The Axis Communications AXIS 240Q Video Server effectively bridges the gap between analog and digital technology. The server accepts four analog fixed or dome cameras and turns them into virtual network cameras complete with remote Internet viewing and recording, PTZ control and alarm I/O ports. This server includes its own enclosure and unlike a Blade, is designed for complete standalone operation and does not require installation in a Rack. Connection to the network is via a single Ethernet cable, making it quick and easy to setup and operate without the need for a local PC. These and other features make this server a very useful tool for long established security facilities looking to take full advantage of the latest in network technology without having to replace their existing high resolution and expensive analog equipment. Video Servers are available in four different configurations, each designed to suit a particular application. This AXIS 240Q server captures video only in the M-JPEG mode and at speeds up to 6 FPS for every channel. Most of the other servers capture video simultaneously in both M-JPEG and MPEG-4 at speeds up to 30 FPS per channel. For this reason, this server is well suited for applications requiring dependable over the network streaming but do not require maximum network transmission versatility or full motion video. An elaborate encryption and filtering system is incorporated to prevent hackers and other illicit network infiltrators from accessing the camera. Authorized users however will find it easy to access the camera for viewing images and for PTZ control. A multi-user password system is employed to determine the level of access for general clients and an administrator. A number of standard serial ports allow the direct connection of PTZ dome cameras. Once connected, dome cameras are treated like any other network camera, with a user able to control basic pan, tilt, and zoom functions as well as any additional complex operations like preset positions, tours and groups. To further enhance security performance, this server features a number of alarm I/O ports. These I/O ports will accept a number of external sensors to trigger alarm events such as when a door or window is being forcefully opened, and to activate devices following an alarm event like turning a light on or locking down a row of doors. Built into the server is a motion detection function fully configurable for area and sensitivity. Motion detection not only alerts an operator to suspicious movement, but when used to trigger recording to a DVR, saves valuable time and network resources. To keep users apprised of all important events, this server can be set to send alerts to a designated Email address over the network. Axis Communications 0232-004 Video Server, 240Q, Digitize 4 Features: • M-JPEG Streaming Only (6 FPS) • Secure Network Management • PTZ Control • Alarm I/O Ports • Built-In Motion Detection |

| Axis Communications 0226-004 Axis Poe, Mid-span 1-Port | ||
![]() Retail price: Your price: $81.01 |
Axis Communications 0226-004 Axis Poe, Mid-span 1-Port The Axis Communications Power over Lan Midspan 1-Port can be used to inject electrical power into the same Ethernet cable used to transmit data over a network. By having a single cable carrying both data and power, camera installation is no longer limited to areas with a close proximity to an AC outlet. This makes it possible to install the camera close to a ceiling, in hallways, inside outdoor housings, on rooftops and numerous other environments where running electrical wiring is inconvenient, too costly or simply unsightly. By using the same cable to transmit both data and power over a network, there's no need to hire an electrician to install additional electrical wiring, making power over ethernet (POE) a real time and cost saver. In facilities containing UPS (Uninterrupted Power Supply) devices, POE will also keep the camera operating in the event of a power failure occurring at the camera site. Using optional specialized software, POE makes it possible to remotely monitor and configure power options just as easy as it would be for data transmissions. By using a POE injector at the network source end and a POE splitter at the receiving end, non POE equipped cameras can be powered solely by their Ethernet cables. As an enterprise grows so does its security requirements. Midspans are easily expandable by combining multiple units and mounting them in an electrical closet. Axis Communications 0226-004 Axis Poe, Mid-span 1-Port Features: Major Cost Saver Fail Safe Operation Remote Power Management Optional Power for Non PoE Devices Scalable |
