Move your Mongoose® system indoors. With a special conversion kit, you can use your Mongoose® volleyball system in your gym or recreation center. Using your Mongoose indoors is a great solution for recreational programs, physical education classes or programs on tight budgets. Kit includes 2 floor-plate adapter weldments and two threaded hand knobs. Securely anchor these weldments in your existing 1/2"-1/3" threaded floor plates or choose the appropriate floor plate from Gared Sports' wide selection. Anchors not included.

These floor plates are designed for installation into floors that have a floating wood floor over concrete. The floor plate consists of a floor plate tube assembly, a flat circular ring that sits flush with the wood floor surface and a removable cap. The area inside the ring allows the top surface to "float" around the anchor without interfering with use of the floor plate. The floor plate will withstand greater than 6000 lb. (2727 kg) vertical load with no pull out, when installed according to directions. These floor plates are compatible with all AAIcabled gymnastics apparatus as well as with T-base volleyball uprights. Model #422-031 can be installed in floating wood floors where the distance from the top of the floor to the bottom of the sleepers is less than 6" (152 mm).CONSTRUCTION:1. The floor plates consist of the following parts:a. 9" (229 mm) anchor tube. Machined from 1¼" (32 mm) round 1215 steel bar. Internal threads allow insertion of apparatus eyebolts on one end and a carriage bolt on the opposite end. Knurled outer surface engages cement and holds body in place.b. Hex nut. ½" threads for attachment of ½" carriage bolt.c. Carriage bolt. ½" x 1½" zinc plated. SAE J429 Grade 5 bolt with 85,000-psi proof load. Provides additional surface area for engaging floor plate in cement.d. Floor plate ring that sits flush in floor surface and allows internal area for "float". This is attached to the floor with four ¼" screws.e. Removable floor plate cap. This sits inside the floor plate ring when the plate is not in use to provide a flat floor surface for other activities.2. The floor plate shall be provided completely assembled and shall have the proper cement andinstallation instructions included with the floor plate package.3. The floor plate must be installed and allowed to set for a minimum of 12 hours before use withequipment.
